Looks like that's the end of Sitrus. Is it any suprise? SitraconII was poorly attended and the presentations were not that great. iDate is a way better show and the industry can only support one or two shows per year. Sorry, Bob.

Received the email last nite. Have spoken to many in the industry who are very pissed. Most of us paid for multiple plane tickets that are non-refundable and Palm Springs is not a destination we would pick for anything. Good bye to Bob and Sitras.
What a bunch of bozos! When am I suppose to use these tickets to Palm Springs? Sitras is done for! Even if they came back, would anyone go? Bob has zero credibility!!!
I hear that they aren't returning calls. I have talked to a couple of sites that are disputing the credit card charge for the show. Be smart and do the same.
There were several of us planning to attend SITRAcon III because we had a sense of obligation to support our industry association. We are of course very disappointed the conference was cancelled. My assumption is that the cancellation was due to low attendance.
Allow me to make this point. Bob tried very hard to make SITRAS a reputable association. Therefore, we should also extend the blame (for the cancelled SITRAcon) to those within our industry for not participating or supporting SITRAcon or our association for that matter.
Let me apologize in advance but your comments are a load of crap! It is not the job of those in the industry to just up and support every "association" that comes along. They have to earn the right to be there and Bob did not earn that right. Why is iDate so successful? Its because its a well done show that has earned the respect of the industry. Bob simply blew it - the industry is right not to go or support it anymore. Its a damn joke!
If you go to sitras.com, it shows nothing about it being cancelled. And if you click on the registration link, it comes back "The organization "sitras" is not in our database."

The SITRAS website finally took down most information about the convention. However, they don't say anything about it being cancelled or why, just no mention. There are several links in the menu about the event that don't work.

no one will ever come back, Bob. You've burned too many people. Nice knowing you.

I guess making a point to attend for the purpose of networking is just not important.
